IM SORRY MISS JACKSON.
..i am for reaaal! haha…
went to brunch at Miss Jackson in St Kilda with some church friends – KH’s most raved about brunch spot. little did i know he only orders the same one thing every single time, but more on that later…
it so happened that today is St Kilda Festival! which according to hearsay is the oldest? Australian festival showcasing local talent/products etc, and its freee! so being a sunday…it was packed with people and many roads were blocked off…which made it all the more less convenient for parking in any close location. but thats ok. i earnt my foood;)
apparently 6 people is a lot for a brunch place without a booking? 0_O which left the MJ staff and us both hesitant about what was going on….”hmm…we have a reservation under Becky?” me: “uhh i didnt book.” sam: “can we take it anyway?” ROFL…so we somehow got a table outside, dont know if we racked someone elses or not…
the single origin coffee of the day was Zambian, which was very good! very smooth, despite the waiter’s comment about it being ‘citrus’…definitely rate the coffee!
so good…
yo’s hot chocolate:)
foodwise, it wasn’t bad. we all really liked the polenta chips with chilli mayonnaise…i shared corn fritters + ricotta pancakes with sam [the regular brunch staples] …not bad! but not awesome=/ corn fritters were not bad, although a bit dry + the chilli jam didnt taste chilli at all…just like regular jam=/ ricotta pancakes fared a lot better than the proud mary ones, with all of us trying the fruit puree + trying to guess what fruit it was made from, haha:D
polenta chips! mm…
pat’s baked eggs?
corn fritters with avocado + bacon:)
ricotta pancakes! the puree was really good:D
potato hash with salmon?:D
KH’s schnitzel burger:D
apparently KH always gets the panko chicken schnitzel burger every single time - so he wasnt much help for recommendations past that, HAHA!
id come back for the coffee, not sure abt the food as yet though.
post brunch we strolled down to meet the st kilda fest crowd, turning off into Il Fornaio down Acland St for our 2nd round of coffees + dessert… cant remember the single origin at this place, but the general consensus was that coffees were pretty damn WEAK. highly amused by the waiters dressed up in superhero outfits though!
random bronze cowboy lady.
random asian with dreads playinf this interesting drum…thing 0_O

cute campbell’s inspired sugar can!
LMFAO….most creative juice ever?
KH’s passionfruit tart thing…was really good!

i think due to the crappy bipolar weather, st kilda fest was a lot more empty than i remember it being last year…took random happy snaps [played with aperture mode on my dSLR; i still need to get used to this thing] + found another girl wearing something questionable=P as i did last year:D
palmtrees…LOVE them!:D
random stalls…
the sky being blue and nice and pretty.
DOGGYYYSSS. WITH TOO MUCH FURRR♥
umm…..ROFL [see the EH? 0_o moment of last year's st kilda fest HERE]
