LEARNING HOW TO HAPPY SNAP: THE COMPLETE DSLR COURSE

so as you mayy or may not know, iv been attending a short night course on the basics of my dSLR camera in box hill over the past 7 weeks – in the hope i would develop from n00b i-pretend-i-know-what-im-doing photographer to give-me-time-to-practise-so-i-dont-pretend photographer…

…ok if the criteria for success was that small then i probably succeeded in it. rofl.

anyway, i was recommended this course by non other than my mother; whos patient happens to be the teacher of this particular course –  The Complete Digital SLR Course by Moses Tan [click HERE to reach the course page on the Box Hill Institute website].

i was pretty happy with the outcome of it!  previous to commencing the DSLR course, my extent of adjusting camera settings was blindly changing shutter speed and ISO combinations until the image on the screen looked to be of correct contrast and light…and then try and salvage the image later using photoshop if need be [which was the case 80% of the time] haha FAIL. i didnt even realise what half the buttons were for on my camera, let alone realise what a smart piece of equipment it is!

one thing i learnt…the better the image you take is, the less likely it is u would need to tweak it with photoshop! hahahahah…

….so if my images up to now have been ok, then i must be a pretty good BS-er with my DSLR right?;)

Mr Tan is a pretty helpful teacher, and he runs night classes 4 times a week [in 7 week blocks] enabling it to be quite flexible for your time. recommended!

leaving this post with a few of my happy snaps throughout the 7 weeks…it was interesting:) enjoy!
